Por Verónica MartínezLa Agencia de Publicidad y Comunicación, de la Escuela de Ciencias de la Comunicación, realiza varias campañas comunicacionales y de sensibilización, encargadas por diferentes entidades estatales, así como no gubernamentales.
Según indicó el licenciado Nery Bach, director de la agencia, se culminaron dos campañas las que fueron desarrolladas en tres fases. La primera de estas se basó en la investigación y recopilación de datos; la segunda en la elaboración del diagnostico y propuesta; y, la tercera ha quedado bajo la responsabilidad de ARS Project para llevarla a cabo.
ARS Project es la entidad con la cual se realizó la primera campaña, con ella se llevó a cabo la estrategia comunicacional para la sensibilización de la población de San Pedro, San Pablo y San Marcos La Laguna, del departamento de Sololá. Tal campaña se enfoca sobre el buen manejo de los residuos sólidos. Producto de esta actividad, la Agencia de Publicidad y Comunicación de la Escuela recibió de parte de ARS Project la donación de una cámara profesional digital y una impresora marca Cannon Power Shot 5X20i.
En cuanto a la segunda campaña, el licenciado Bach indicó que está en fase de diseño y programación y la misma se relaciona con la administración del sitio web de Caribbean Farm, una empresa que se dedica a la venta de productos y especias acuáticas. Resultado de este trabajo, la agencia recibirá en donación un televisor plasma de 36 pulgadas, señaló el director de la agencia.
Gustavo Bracamonte, director de esta unidad académica, comentó que son de su total conocimiento los proyectos que trabaja la agencia, los cuales son importantes, pues se le agrega prestigio a la escuela y constituyen una práctica para los estudiantes, quienes adquieren experiencia laboral.
